With Mixtape Pluto, out today, Future is aiming for not only his third No. 1 debut of 2024 but potentially the first instance of an artist bagging a trio of Billboard 200 chart-toppers in less than six months.
Indeed, as has been well-documented, Future and Metro Boomin were all over the charts earlier this year with We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You, respectively. “Like That,” a track off the former, saw Kendrick Lamar making a surprise appearance with a verse that set in motion a series of events that quickly led to what has been widely described as a historic back-and-forth with Drake.
Future and Metro also took their proven collaborative power on the road with the aptly named We Trust You tour, which wrapped earlier this month.
Listen to Mixtape Pluto, Future's first solo full-length since I Never Liked You in 2022, here. Expected to have features on the 17-track project were Travis Scott and Gunna, though neither ultimately appeared on the final tracklist, at least not for the initial release. As has been pointed out by fans in the days leading up to the project's release, the cover features a depiction of the famous Dungeon family house in Georgia.
