Fivio Foreign Deadass Got a Timberland Boot Print Tattoo

It doesn't get more New York than that.

Fivio Foreign’s new tattoo feels like the ultimate expression of what it means to be from New York.

The rapper posted a video of his latest ink—a giant tattoo of a Timberland boot print and logo. His caption for the video? “Why not," followed by a UK flag emoji (presumably showing support for where he got the tattoo) and a fire emoji, because, well, Timberland boots are fire.

Of course, wearing Timberlands—specifically the 6-inch waterproof Nubuck "butters" work boot, because any other iteration is sacrilegious—is a New York stereotype that’s all in good fun.

Since Fivio is from Brooklyn, he seems to want to embrace what everyone associates with New Yorkers—thanks to a barrage of 'deadass' memes—by paying homage to the signature brand's most popular work boot with a permanent tattoo.

Fivio’s video of his new tattoo is getting its fair share of love — which is way different from the last major video that he shared with fans. Back in August, Fivio posted a clip on X showing someone near him injecting what appeared to be hard drugs into another person’s arm. In the caption for the video, Fivio revealed that he had a show in Philadelphia that was canceled, so he opted to hop onto the streets instead.

As Fivio flexes his watch in the brief clip while someone uses drugs, another person nearby yells “dog food”—the street name for heroin.

As you can imagine, the response to this video wasn’t positive. Fivio received immediate backlash from his fans who thought he was glorifying the horribly dangerous and addictive drug. Fivio responded to fans — not to apologize, but to tell them not to be upset.

“We watch this shit everyday on Documentaries..,” he wrote. “Don’t get mad at me I ain’t glorying that shit..maybe this ah open yah eyes to why we rap try to get up out this shit.. Or just get up off yo ass and help clean I’m really 1 of people who help.”

Fivio Foreign is no stranger to attracting attention due to his choice of ink. Last year, he faced backlash from online detractors who disapproved of a video of the massive back tattoo he posted to social media, which reads, "Stop talking behind my back."

"Alright let me break it down like this," he said in a video. "When people get tattoos, you get tattoos for yourself not for nobody else to like your tattoos. The tattoo is for me, the tattoo is for my body, I like the tattoo, I appreciate the tattoo, I love the tattoo. You understand?"
