Fivio Foreign claims that he isn’t dissing Rick Ross on his new song, “Blacc Out.”
Fivio mentions the rapper on the song with a bar that includes his name. “When I go overseas, I’m a big dog (I am) / N*ggas never gon’ treat me like Rick Ross,” Fivio raps.
After fans started speculating that he was referring to Rick Ross getting assaulted at a Canadian show for playing “Not Like Us,” Fivio cleared the air on X so everyone would know that the line isn’t a diss.
“And that was deff not a shot at Ricc Ross,” he wrote. “Smh Yall take everything outta context.”
Rick Ross’ assault was due to the beef that he has with Drake, joining Kendrick in his shared public hatred of him. When Ross was performing at the Ignite Music Festival in June, he played Kendrick’s blistering diss track — not accounting for the fierce loyalty that Canadian hip-hop fans have for Drake.
In a video capturing the chaos of the fight that happened at the performance, it appeared that several members of Ross’ entourage were beaten up. Ross himself was punched once.
This month, Fivio caused quite a stir among the public. Last week, he posted a video of someone standing near him shooting hard drugs into someone else’s arm. When he began getting criticized for sharing the video on social media, he hopped on quickly to defend his decision to post it.
“We watch this shit everyday on Documentaries..,” he wrote. “Don’t get mad at me I ain’t glorying that shit..maybe this ah open yah eyes to why we rap try to get up out this shit.. Or just get up off yo ass and help clean I’m really 1 of people who help.”
A few weeks before that. Fivio dropped a new song with Kodak Black endorsing Donald Trump called “ONBOA47RD.”
