Big Sean has responded to the speculation that he broke up with Jhené Aiko over another woman.
The rapper addressed the situation on X when he responded to a fan's inquiry when they asked him, "You broke up with the queen over a powdered donut, my n***a?"
"No, it's pretty funny how the internet can give life to things with no confirmation," responded Sean. "I'm sending love to everyone tho."
Sean's comments come a day after he cleared up rumors on Instagram when he was spotted with a woman who people thought was his new partner.
"Yeah unfortunately I never met this person in my life lol," he wrote in the comments of a post with the two together.
"This girl was standing next to @hitboy who is cut out the video," Sean added. "I dont know why the fuck she was so close to me though. I didnt see it at all til i saw this video and can understand the frustrations. Smh [crying laughing emoji] But i dont even know this person at all."
Reports of Sean and Aiko's breakup surfaced last week when MediaTakeOut alleged the two split over the rapper's hesitation to get married. Whether that's true or not is unclear since neither artist has addressed the rumor.
Sean and Aiko reportedly began dating in 2016 after the release of their debut album, Twenty88, named after their collaborative duo. Six years later, they welcomed their first child together, Noah.
Last year, Sean suggested that it would be a while before he and Aiko got married during a conversation with Charlamagne tha God on the Out of Context podcast. "There's a lot of work that needs to be done," he claimed.
When a fan suggested that Big Sean was her husband in January, Aiko politely responded to let them know that wasn't the case, writing on Instagram, “I don't have a husband 💙."
