Ahead of his Super Bowl performance in 2026, Bad Bunny snagged five trophies from the Latin Grammy Awards in Las Vegas.

At the prestigious award show on Nov. 13, Bad Bunny took home the trophies for Best Urban Song (“La Mudanza”), Best Urban Fusion/Performance (“DTMF”), Best Reggaeton Performance (“Voy a Llevarte Pa’ PR”), Best Urban Music Album (Debí Tirar Más Fotos), and the biggest award of the night, Album of the Year (again, Debí Tirar Más Fotos).

During the acceptance speech for Album of the Year, Bad Bunny dedicated the award to “all the youth of Latin America.”

“There are many ways of being patriotic and defending our homelands,” he added. “We chose music.”

Bad Bunny could also take home more hardware next February at the mainstream Grammys, of which he’s nominated for six awards — including three major categories of album, song, and record of the year.

Bad Bunny performing at the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show was announced in November by the NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation.

The musician tied the announcement to his decision to exclude the U.S. from tour performances at the time, writing on X in Spanish, “I was thinking these days, and after talking to my team, I think I will do one date in the United States.”

Before that, Bad Bunny explained to i-D why he excluded the U.S. from his tour. "There were many reasons why I didn't show up in the U.S., and none of them were out of hate," he said. "I've performed there many times. All of [the shows] have been successful."

"I’ve enjoyed connecting with Latinos who have been living in the U.S.," he added. "But specifically, for a residency here in Puerto Rico, when we are an incorporated territory of the U.S. … People from the U.S. could come here to see the show. Latinos and Puerto Ricans of the United States could also travel here, or to any part of the world. But there was the issue of—like, fucking ICE could be outside [my concert]. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about."

Speaking of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the agency confirmed that its agents would be at the Super Bowl shortly soon after Bad Bunny was revealed to be a performer.
