Tyler, the Creator Announces New Album 'Chromakopia,' Shares "St. Chroma" Video (UPDATE)

We are so, so back.

UPDATED 11/17, 11:49 a.m. ET: Tyler, the Creator has not only confirmed speculation of a new album being on the horizon, but he's revealed its title and presumed cover art.

The album, titled Chromakopia, will arrive on Oct. 28. In an IG update, Tyler directed fans to this site. Interestingly, the 28th is a Monday, thus bucking the industry standard Friday format.

All of this, of course, further proves October's long-held status as unquestionably the best month.

Tyler, the Creator is ensuring the final months of 2024 are worth the hassle with the presumably impending launch of new music.

Wednesday, Tyler shared a video titled "St. Chroma" to his socials, as well as to YouTube. Prominently featured in the brief video is the phrase Chromakopia, potentially the title of an upcoming album, Tyler's first since 2021's Best Rap Album-winning Call Me If You Get Lost.

The sense of stokedness in the wake of the “St. Chroma” unveiling was felt across fans and artists alike, with Lil Yachty commenting on IG, “It’s dat time.”

Readily on display in this teaser alone, as is always apparent in Tyler’s visual work, is the fact that we’d all likely benefit greatly from seeing him get the opportunity to helm a feature-length film, musical or otherwise. There’s a real visual language that runs throughout Tyler’s catalog, one that’s hard not to imagine being quite successfully translated to the big screen. Let’s make that happen, universe.

To that end, September brought word that Tyler had joined the cast of an upcoming A24 film directed by Josh Safdie.
