As expected, the coming days will indeed be bringing us something new from Tyler, the Creator.

Monday, Tyler formally announced his new IGOR project. The album—featuring songs all written, produced, and arranged by Tyler—is out May 17. See the cover art and additional details, at least one of which involves extraterrestrial life, here:

Tyler recently signaled that something was imminent by sharing a pair of new music-assisted clips to his social media platforms. This summer, Tyler's set to perform at Governors Ball in New York and the Firefly Music Festival in Dover. An infamous U.K. ban, meanwhile, is still actively being protested by fans.

Talk of a Flower Boy follow-up, which follows the two-year release gap that's held throughout Tyler's catalog, hit its highest level at the end of last month thanks to a Reddit-circulated internal document from Sony listing a Tyler album among its "noteworthy projects" for the quarter.

While we wait, there's always last year's Grinch EP to revisit, complete with a Santigold collab.
