The Game Pays Tribute to Nipsey Hussle and Kobe Bryant in Stop-Motion Animated "Welcome Home" Video

The unique video was directed by Stefano Bertelli of Seen Film.

The Game's Born 2 Rap track "Welcome Home," featuring a posthumously released guest spot by Nipsey Hussle, has been interpreted through the magic of animation in a new music video.

Wednesday, Game released the video, which boasts direction by Stefano Bertelli and also pays tribute to the late Kobe Bryant. Last month, Bertelli shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the video's intensive production process:

Game has been particularly public about how Nipsey's death affected him, even taking the time to respond to criticism from anyone arguing that he was being exploitative.

"If I'm writing a poem, if I'm inspiring people, if I post a picture of him, it's because we had a moment," he told LA Leakers last summer. "I'm not saying that I was Nip's best friend in the world. No. He had a squad of people that he came up with. We from two different sides of the track. I'm from Compton, he's from South Central. But the day I met Nip, all the way till the day he passed, it was nothing but love."

He's also shared multiple Kobe tribute messages following the Lakers legend's death earlier this year. In January, a tribute track was teased that saw Game linking up with Big Sean and Hit-Boy, complete with a Nipsey reference in the lyrics.
