Clipse, SAINt JHN, and others who use Roc Nation Distribution for their releases will soon be able to access a new dashboard that’s designed to put more power in their hands. Other artists also stand to benefit from the newly announced dashboard.
As Roc Nation Distribution President Krystian Santini explained in a statement shared with Complex, the new feature marks “a game-changer” for independent artists.
“It’s a one-stop shop that will enable artists to receive a holistic understanding of their followers, so they can build impactful strategies and broaden their music’s reach without financial barriers,” Santini said. “This dashboard is democratizing access to tools and information historically reserved for the very few established label superstars. Our technology is uniquely ours and sets a new standard with no equivalent in today’s music industry.”
Developed in partnership with Linked by Air, the new dashboard will provide real-time data for an artist’s streaming activity. For example, artists will be able to view their demographic broken down by age, location, and streaming preferences. Furthermore, other fan activity, ranging from most-used hashtags to emojis, will also be accessible.
Additionally, the newly launched dashboard marks a simplification of the artist payout process, inclusion a streamlined approach to revenue splits. Notably, artists using Roc Nation Distribution are able to have automatic payments sent to their bank accounts and/or PayPal.
Monday’s announcement also includes word that independent artists will now be able to sign up and start distributing their projects directly through Roc Nation Distribution’s dashboard. See the video up top for a closer look at all the new features, including a breakdown of key benefits.
