Migos caught some serious heat for their baffling comments on Makonnen's coming out last month, ultimately issuing a public apology. "We love all people, gay or straight, and we apologize if we offended anyone," the group said in a statement. In a new interview with Billboard, Quavo again addressed Makonnen's coming out.
"If you real from the heart, you real from the heart," Quavo toldBillboard's Chris Martins, who added that "it's clear" Quavo isn't outright homophobic. "That ain't got nothing to do with no sex or gender," Quavo said. "It's 2017, and we all living."
According to Martins, however, Quavo "still doesn't quite seem to get it." While speaking on Makonnen's coming out, Quavo made a point to mention Migos' recent collab with Frank Ocean:
