mgk Jokes He's Like F1 Driver in the Bedroom: 'It Takes Me a Long Time to Get to the Finish Line'

"I’m not much far off from an F1 racer when I’m in the bedroom," MGK told fans in Vegas.

There’s an F1 driver-like quality to mgk’s approach to the bedroom, or so joked the Lost Americana artist during a recent performance in Las Vegas.

As seen in a clip originally shared by The Daily Mail’s Eileen Reslen, Colson Baker—formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly, now just mgk—made the decidedly blink-esque joke before launching into “Bloody Valentine” off his Travis Barker-backed 2020 album Tickets to My Downfall. The video for the track, notably, stars Megan Fox, with whom mgk shares a child.

“Well, I don’t know if you guys know who we are but we’re mgk,” he told the crowd at the T-Mobile Zone at Sphere during F1 Grand Prix festivities last week. “I appreciate you guys standing in the rain, even though I don’t really think you had a choice because the cars are out there. And just so you know, I’m not much far off from an F1 racer when I’m in the bedroom because I’m very fast and it takes me a long time to get to the finish line.”

Mgk continued: “Anyway, if you did come to see us today, like this beautiful group right here, I’m gonna go ahead and dedicate this to you.”

Earlier this month, Mgk kicked off his Lost Americana Tour with Wiz Khalifa. The extensive run features recent Drake collaborator Julia Wolf as a special guest, a fitting addition to the lineup given that she and mgk previously linked up for a Goo Goo Dolls cover.

The tour is in support of mgk’s latest album, Lost Americana, which he first announced to the world with a Bob Dylan-narrated trailer. On the song “Starman,” Colson and company incorporate elements of Third Eye Blind’s 1997 blockbuster “Semi-Charmed Life,” the approval of which is said to have required some convincing of the National Guard.
