Megan Thee Stallion Shuts Down Slim Thug's 'Crush' Claim at Coachella: 'I Just Like Your Music'

"I just like your music, babe," Megan said during her second Coachella set.

No, Megan Thee Stallion does not have “a crush” on Slim Thug. The Megan: Act II artist made this clear during her Coachella performance this past weekend, clarifying to thousands of fans in Indio, and even more watching at home, that she’s merely a fan of her fellow Texan’s music.

As seen in the clip below, Megan’s set for the second weekend of the 2025 edition of the festival—headlined by Lady Gaga, Green Day, and Post Malone—saw her incorporating “Still Tippin’” featuring Mike Jones, Slim Thug, and Paul Wall.

“Y’all know where the fuck I’m from,” Megan told the crowd. “And no, Slim Thug, this don’t mean I want you. I just like your music, babe.”

Thug took the moment in stride, throwing out an assortment of emojis including tears of joy, flames, and rock hands when reacting to a Shade Room IG update.

Surrounding news coverage of the prior weekend of Coachella, Thug shared a video to social media in which he reacted to Megan’s use of his music, saying: “If that ain’t a ‘I want you, Daddy’ call, I don’t know what is. So I’m just waiting on my day. I’m just waiting on her to come to Houston and hit my line.”

In the same video, as seen below, Slim said it was “only a matter of time at this point,” further theorizing that Megan had “a crush” on him.

“I say I’m in there,” he said at the time. “I think I’m in there. What y’all think?”

In June, Megan will perform in Milwaukee as part of this year’s Summerfest lineup. But first, she’s set to release a new song, titled “Whenever,” after revealing its imminent arrival this past weekend. Revealed alongside a film-style poster for the track was a release date of April 25, i.e. this coming Friday. It’s unclear if this is part of a larger rollout, perhaps in anticipation of a new full-length from Megan, or if it’s intended to be a well-timed one-off.
