Meek Mill, who would appear to have a love-hate relationship with X, is highlighting the disparity he sees between bot-driven social media activity and the resulting level of engagement.
In a post shared to the once-great platform formerly known as Twitter, the “600 Racks” artist argued that the impact of bots on the larger “narrative” has been “fully exposed.” Still, he’s perplexed by the lack of engagement.
“It's fully exposed that they using bots to create narrative to make real people engage,” Meek said in an X post on Sunday (May 3). “But if you look at all the social platforms, they have no engagement. It’s all fluff!”
When it comes to the use of AI more generally, Meek is seemingly not entirely opposed, as he told fans last August that he was “working on [an] AI tool that can change the world.” To be clear, however, he coupled that statement with an “lol.”
Meek has also taken issue with the level of emphasis placed on his own social media activity by the general public, particularly on X. At one point, he flirted with the idea of making LinkedIn his focus; at another, he urged people to give more attention to “the change I make” and the “real stuff” he does instead of his oft-headlined X posts.
Bots, specifically, have also previously been made the subject of criticism from Meek. Back in 2024, he alleged that he himself had been targeted with “paid bot campaigns” earlier in his career.
