Meek Mill was forced to miss out on a $450,000 check for a performance in Abu Dhabi because the judge in his controversial case effectively wouldn't allow the required travel.

In an interview Monday with ESPN's Outside the Lines, 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin shared that Meek Mill was prevented from earning a $450,000 paycheck for the performance because of Judge Genece Brinkley. A source close to the situation shared more information regarding the incident with Complex.

The travel request was submitted by Meek's team in early March for a performance slated for the first week of April. The request needed to have been granted no later than March 15 for booking purposes, with Brinkley allegedly intentionally missing the deadline by approving the request instead on March 19, four days over the cutoff. Public record shows that Brinkley approved the request on March 19, stating that Meek would have theoretically been allowed to travel from April 3-7.

Previously, Rubin called out Brinkley, the judge who sentenced Meek to prison. In an Instagram post last month, Rubin said the judge had ignored Meek's request to travel to Toronto for a playoff game.

"I know you have a vendetta against Meek Mill and are obsessed with trying to control every aspect of his life, but did you really NOT approve him to go to rep the sixers in Toronto for the game?" Rubin asked. "Do you also hate PHILLY?"

Meek's criminal justice fight is the subject of the upcoming Amazon series Free Meek, co-produced by Roc Nation and Intellectual Property Corporation.

Over the weekend, Meek celebrated his 32nd birthday in West Hollywood alongside Future, Rick Ross, Young Thug, and more. D'USSE provided refreshments, including customized DreamChaser cocktails.
