Lil Uzi Vert is taking a vehement stand against the horrors of mayonnaise.

In an interview with @deeswishh, the “What You Saying” artist, one of our picks for the best-dressed rappers of the 21st century, first spoke briefly about their choice of attire and their apparent aversion to dividing an artist’s work into different eras.

“This is the same era,” they said, as seen below. “Everybody always talking about eras. It’s still from the beginning. I’m never going to stop.”

From there, Uzi was asked to reveal “something we can’t tell from looking at you,” leading to a harrowing mention of the condiment in question.

“Can't tell that you could rob me with mayonnaise,” Uzi offered, which led to an immediate request for further clarification.

“No gun, no knife, none of that,” Uzi added. “Mayonnaise.”

The interviewer then closed out the conversation by joking that he’ll “bring some mayonnaise next time,” prompting further anti-mayo commentary from Uzi.

“No, no,” they responded.

What’s so scary about mayonnaise?

For one, it’s visually unappealing, often to a wildly unsettling degree. Furthermore, while moderation is key with almost everything, there is an argument to be made, quite easily in fact, that downing copious amounts of mayonnaise would be decidedly unwise due to its calorically dense nature.

Meanwhile, using mayonnaise as a weapon, as Uzi jokingly suggested, would likely have mixed results. Some people fucking love it, while others, Uzi included, may very well have a kryptonite-like reaction to its brandishing.
