Latto and Ice Spice, fresh off firmly putting any would-be beef speculation to rest with the release of their new single “Gyatt,” made a joint appearance on Kai Cenat’s stream Thursday (Sept. 4) to commemorate the release of the track’s Hidji World-directed video.

At one point, Kai, whose stream also included a Rick Ross-approved take on Drake’s latest Iceman tease, asked for Latto and Spice to break down who “made the first move” when it came to getting on a track together. While both declined to go into too much detail, at least in the moment, Spice emphasized her fondness of the song as being instrumental in the pairing.

“She sent me the song,” Spice said. “It’s Latto’s song. It’s really, really cute. I loved it. Once I heard it, I was like yeah, duh.”

Elsewhere, Deshae Frost took the blame for first leaking info on “Gyatt,” with both Latto and Spice questioning why, not to mention how, he let that happen.

“He’s the whole reason why this shit even got leaked in the first place. … He was on stream and said, ‘Yeah, I’m finna go to Latto and Ice Spice’s video shoot,’” Latto explained, before Kai went the extra mile by calling up Frost on stream. “Why would you do that? Mind you, they knew that was going to piss me off so they didn’t tell me ’til after the video.”

According to Frost, however, he wasn’t told to keep the project a secret.

“But listen, I apologize,” he told Latto and Spice over the phone.

Later, Kai asked if either Latto or Spice would charge him for a feature for a hypothetical album of his own. Both agreed they would not, with Latto going into a bit more detail about her stance on charging for features in general.

“I don’t be charging like that. … I’m not trying to make my money off features,” she said. “You can’t even really pay me to do a feature. If I don’t wanna do a song with you, I don’t want to.”

To close out the proceedings, Latto and Spice twerked for the chat.
