Latto and Playboi Carti finally released their song “Blick Sum” Remix, and the star hopes they can collaborate again on Carti’s upcoming album I AM MUSIC.
Latto was at Michael Rubin's Fanatic’s Super Bowl party this past Saturday, and before she hit the stage to perform some of her biggest tracks like “Big Mama” and “Brokey,” the Atlanta rap star told Complex how the collab track with her and Carti came together.
“[Playboi Carti] and I record at the same studio, so he was like ‘I want to meet you,’” Latto explained on the Fanatics red carpet. “When we met, I was like ‘I got a song for you.’ And I played him ‘Blick Sum,’ and he was like, ‘Hell yeah.’ I took my second verse off so quick.”
When asked about the state of Atlanta rap now that Young Thug has been released, Latto also said that the city is “still at the forefront [of rap.]” And she is also waiting with the world for Carti to give news on the release date of his next album, I AM MUSIC, which she said she hopes to jump on as well.
