KRS-One Pays Respects to Wrong Beastie Boys Member in Tribute Track About Dead Rappers

In a tribute track on his new album The World Is Mind, KRS-One pays respects to the wrong Beastie Boys member. As spotted by XXL Thursday, KRS-One names Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz in the track "Hip Hop Speaks From Heaven." Ad-Rock, who's also an actor, is alive.

In the track, which also names Big Pun and J Dilla, KRS-One says:

KRS-One presumably meant to name founding Beastie Boys member Adam "MCA" Yauch, who died at the age of 47 in 2012 after discovering a tumor in his salivary gland three years earlier. Just one month before Yauch's death, the group had been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Yauch was unable to attend. The Beastie Boys' final album, Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, was released in 2011.
