Kendrick Lamar took home Best Rap Album on Sunday (Feb. 1) for GNX, using his speech to reaffirm that hip-hop is “always” going to have a home on the Grammys stage, all while shouting out two of his fellow nominees: Tyler, The Creator and Clipse.

“It's hip-hop as usual, man,” Kendrick said during his speech. “I’m not good at talking about myself, but I express it through the music. It's an honor to be here, Tyler, the Clipse. Like, these are my brothers to be in this category. What's up, Push, man? Malice, man? Every time I tell you this: hip-hop is gonna always be right here. We gon’ be in these suits, we gon’ be looking good. We gon’ be having our folks with us. We gon’ be having the culture with us. So I appreciate y'all. God is the glory. Love y'all.”

Other nominees in this year’s Best Rap Album class included GloRilla and JID. See here for a closer look at the winners, including Bad Bunny—who tucked in an “ICE out” message during his acceptance speech—and more.
