Kehlani has scored her first-ever top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart thanks to “Folded.”

The track, originally released in June and more recently the subject of a remixes EP, hit a new peak at No. 7 in the latest charts update. As of this writing, the song has spent 20 total weeks on the chart, jumping seven positions from No. 14 to No. 7 when compared with last week’s Hot 100.

“Folded” has proven especially popular on TikTok, with an accompanying challenge having inspired Kai Cenat and other stars to join in on the track’s viral rise. The song's official video, directed by City James, is currently nearing 35 million views on YouTube.

On Monday, Nov. 3, Kehlani brought “Folded” to Jimmy Kimmel Live! for a special performance backed by a live band. Ahead of the performance, the five-time Grammy nominee told fans her “gratitude is endless” after the song became her first-ever top 10 on the Hot 100.

In the latest Hot 100 update for the week of Nov. 8, “Folded” sits at No. 7, right between tracks from Justin Bieber (“Daisies,” No. 6) and Taylor Swift (“Elizabeth Taylor,” No. 8).

Though this is her first time in the top 10, Kehlani has charted on the Hot 100 multiple times in the past, most recently thanks to her guest appearance on Cardi B’s Am I the Drama? track “Safe,” which peaked at No. 26. Other Kehlani tracks to have charted outside of the top 10 include “Nights Like This” with Ty Dolla Sign, “Change Your Life” with Jhené Aiko, and “Gangsta.”
