Kai Cenat Teases '90 Percent' Chance of Getting Ye on Stream During Upcoming Japan Trip

With 'Bully' on the horizon, Cenat says Ye is in "a great mood."

After recently revealing “the beef is over” between himself and the artist formerly known as Kanye West, Kai Cenat says he’s headed to Japan, where a potential Ye stream may be taking place.

Cenat, as seen in clips below, was careful not to speak definitively about the possibility of a stream with Ye, who at one point was very publicly not a fan of his work. These days, however, their relationship has seemingly taken a turn for the positive, thanks, at least in part, to a recently shared image of a horse in a Bully shirt.

“I was on the phone with Ye,” Cenat, Complex’s pick for the No. 2-ranked streamer of the moment, told fans on Thursday. “Ye is ready for me to come to Japan so we gotta hurry up and do that. … Ye is ready for me to come out to Japan, bro. And it’s time.”

While there, Cenat said, he aims to “respect what we got going on,” meaning he’s not going to push the idea of Ye joining him on stream. Still, the possibility is there, and the chances of a stream indeed happening, at least according to Cenat, are quite high for now.

“I’m not bringing up no streams,” Cenat said. “As you guys know, Ye is Ye for a reason. I’m there for the experience and seeing what’s going on. But I don’t think, I’m telling you right now. N***a, he’s in a great mood, bruh. I feel like he’s in a happy mood because the album’s coming out and shit. This could probably be a big ass prank. I don’t know. Who knows? Come all the way to Japan for nothing. I don’t know.”

Cenat continued, “We’ve been talking. A very good dude. We’ve been talking, bro. A very good motherfucking dude. And listen, I think he’ll be open for the stream. Listen, listen, listen. I think he’l be open for the stream, okay? If I had to say a percentage, it’s at probably, like, 90 percent. Deadass. We’ve been talking almost every day and he’s been highly responsive. It’s crazy, my n***a. Never would I have thought I’d be able to say that.”

In another clip making the rounds, complete with heavy usage of a bomb-dropping sound effect, Cenat celebrated the impending Japan trip by first referencing a “very good conversation” he just had on the phone.

“It looks like we have to pack our bags,” he said. ‘It looks like we have to go to Japan.”

Cenat then sang along to Ye’s Graduation track “Good Life,” featuring T-Pain.

The Bully teases from Ye have been ratcheted up significantly in recent weeks, while the fate of a previously announced third Vultures entry remains unclear. This week, Ye again pointed to a strictly solo approach by telling fans he “chopped every beat with my bare hands” for the new album.
