Tucked neatly into that whole Bhad Bhabie and Iggy Azalea water-splash thing from earlier this week was Iggy informing fans (and, by proxy, Bhad Bhabie) of a new deal.

Earlier this month, Azalea confirmed she was no longer doing business with Island. "I'm officially unsigned," Azalea tweeted alongside some joy-suggesting emoji. "Wild you spend so long trying to get IN a record deal... never thought I'd be so elated to be OUT of one," she added, noting that she would now be "free" to release whatever kind of music she wants.

Now, Azalea has elaborated on her future plans. The deal, Azalea said Thursday, is worth a reported $2.7 million and will give Azalea control of her own master recordings. "I'm feeling like such a bossy grown ass bitch today," she said. She previously mentioned the seven-digit figure when addressing the aforementioned splashed water incident.

Back in August, Azalea released her Island-backed Survive the Summer EP featuring "OMG" and "Kream." In interviews surrounding the project's release, Azalea said she made a conscious effort to recapture the spirit of of her pre-"Fancy" mixtapes.

"I really wanted to get back to that energy and not the pop energy of The New Classic that I think people had kind of come to expect from me," she toldIdolator. "Not that those songs are bad, I just think it felt a little bit predictable."
