Gordo Seemingly Teases Drake Has Something 'Unheard of' in Store With 'Iceman': 'World Isn't Ready'

As Drake’s Iceman nears its arrival, Gordo—whose past work with the OVO Sound co-founder includes “Sticky,” “Rich Baby Daddy,” and more—is stoking the hype on X.

The producer, who’s expected to have some credits on Drake’s solo For All the Dogs follow-up, has been consistently teasing the project on social media, at one point predicting “the world will freeze” on May 15, the date of Iceman’s release. Now, Gordo has gone a step further, seemingly suggesting that the 2026 Grammy nominee will be giving fans something “completely unheard of” with the long-teased new album.

“What he’s about to do is completely unheard of in music… like nothing we’ve ever seen before,” Gordo wrote in an X post shared on Tuesday (April 28). “The world isn’t ready for this.”

While Gordo didn’t directly name Drake in the post, the intentions behind the statement are, arguably, quite clear.

With Iceman just over two weeks from, to paraphrase Gordo’s own words, freezing the world, it remains unclear what, exactly, we can expect from the 6 god’s latest full-length. We’ve been given a few tracks that may or may not wind up included in the final sequencing, including the Julia Wolf and Yeat-featuring “Dog House,” plus some performance art-inspired livestreams. Still, for a proper look at Iceman’s final form, it seems we’ll have to wait until May 15.

As Joe Budden recently pointed out, the stakes for Iceman are quite high, for obvious reasons.

“I would think this was a really important release for him,” Budden said, making a point that’s pretty hard to argue against.
