Drake Names the Weeknd's 'House of Balloons' One of His All-Time Favorite Albums

Drake popped in on the Weeknd's recent London show and told the audience 'House of Balloons' is one of his top 5 of all time.

House of Balloons is top-five material for Drake. The 6ix god praised the Weeknd's 2011 debut tape during a pop-in at Abel's show at the O2 Arena in London Wednesday night, Billboardreported. The two—who recently appeared side-by-side in the "Reminder" video—also ran through some hits together including "Energy," "Jumpman," and "Fake Love."

"He played me 'What You Need,'" Drake recalled of his introduction to the Weeknd's music. "After that, we met up at the studio and I heard House of Balloons, which is in my top 5 albums of all time." Since then, Drake added, "my brother has gone on to become the biggest."

Last month, Drake brought out the Weeknd during a show in Germany:

Speaking with Complex way back in 2013, the Weeknd opened up about the importance of House of Balloons and his contributions to Drake's 2011 album Take Care. "House of Balloons was actually supposed to have more songs than it does," he told Complex in what marked his first-ever interview. "I had so many records left, and then Take Care came through. 'Crew Love,' 'Shot for Me,' and 'The Ride' were supposed to be on House of Balloons. I wanted to come out with like 14 records. I felt like 'The Ride' was the last one, and it wasn't done yet. [Drake] heard it and he was like, 'This shit's crazy.'
