Drake's dad posted the art for 'More Life' on Instagram and captioned it, "Tonight's the night." But he wasn't referring to the project's release date.

Drake's old man is playing with our emotions.

On Sunday afternoon, Dennis Graham hit up Instagram with the artwork for his son’s highly anticipated More Life project. And he chose to caption the image with “Tonight’s the night,” leading many people to believe the playlist would drop before the end of the day. However, if you kept reading the caption—after a series of tags and emoji—it became clear Graham was not talking about More Life. He was talking about his upcoming show.

“I will be performing at Delilah,” the caption read at the end.

We’re sure many Drizzy followers were devastated by this stunt, but you have to admit it was a great way to generate publicity.

TMZ caught up with Graham on the night of his gig, asking if he felt bad for getting fans' hopes up. To no one's surprise, the man wasn't sorry.

“Anything I post I always put ‘More Life’ because that’s what we’re looking for, more life," he said. "I’m affiliated with More Life, I’m the face of More Life, so [...] If [fans] had read the whole post, they would’ve seen that I am performing at Delilah [...] read the whole post.”

Earlier this week, Drake posted a now-deleted Instagram that suggested More Life would be delivered this weekend. He shared a Swedish written note that translated to “If you’re reading/translating this, it’s too late,” followed by the More Life title and a March 4, 2017 date. Though the post was quickly removed, it did give fans hope that the playlist was right around the corner. That hope, however, was slightly diminished after Drake’s longtime producer Noah “40” Shebib confirmed More Life is unfinished as of this weekend.

All we can do now is wait.
