Drake had a very good year, despite ongoing chatter in connection with his Kendrick Lamar feud that largely dominated 2024 and much of 2025.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) released its year-end rundown on Thursday (Dec. 11), revealing that Drake, whose Iceman album is expected to arrive soon, had eight certified titles over the past year. This was the most for any artist in 2025, per the RIAA, with “Nokia” in rare company among this year’s multi-platinum singles.
Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s joint project $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, released in February and recently highlighted by Complex as one of the year’s best albums, moved more than one million units in 2025, leading to a Platinum certification.
All told, six tracks from the project—“CN TOWER,” “SOMETHING ABOUT YOU,” “SPIDER-MAN SUPERMAN,” “GIMME A HUG,” “DIE TRYING” and “SOMEBODY LOVES ME”—achieved Gold certification (500,000 units) from the RIAA.
Taylor Swift, of course, led the RIAA’s year-end stats off the commercial success of her twelfth album, The Life of a Showgirl. As of this writing, the album has been certified five-times Platinum.
Other highlights from the RIAA include noteworthy 2025 certifications for Cardi B; Lady Gaga; Tyler, The Creator; Mariah the Scientist; and more. OVO Sound and Republic Records boasted the most certified titles on the list.
For Drake, the latest RIAA feat stands as merely one of several among the typical rush of year-end stats. Previously, he came in at No. 2 on Spotify’s U.S. artists ranking as part of the platform’s Wrapped 2025 festivities. Meanwhile, he was named the most-streamed artist in 2025 on Apple Music.
Whether Drake will indeed roll out Iceman before we put a bow on 2025 remains to be seen.
