Doja Cat says she trolled her father with a gay porn link in lieu of tickets to one of her Tour Ma Vie shows.
In a TikTok shared Friday (March 20), Doja, whose Vie-supporting run will hit the U.S. in October, told fans she and her father, Dumisani Dlamini, had been messaging recently amid overseas dates on the extensive tour.
“I was messaging my father ‘cause he's here in Africa and he said that he couldn't make it to my show because I don't message him enough and I didn't call him on WhatsApp,” Doja relayed. “So I sent him gay porn and I said, ‘If you go to this link, you can get a ticket super duper easy.’ And he said, ‘Oh yes, I will send this to my management. My management will handle all of this. At the moment I'm just very busy doing costume and rehearsal, so at the moment I cannot do this myself.’”
The conversation continued, per Doja, with her father repeating that he was “very busy” and thus couldn’t “get to the phone.” At one point in the exchange, Doja’s father asked her to send the link again, as he had missed it the first time. She obliged.
“I sent it again,” Doja told fans with a laugh, as seen below in a video billed as a “Deadbeat Chronicles” entry. “He said, ‘Darling, what is this? This, what I'm seeing, is gay porn. It's like a porno on my screen, and I don't know if it's a scam ‘cause I feel like they're scamming here. So please, sweetheart, I don't know what to do with this. I can't get the ticket.”
The Grammy winner and recent Vogue cover star was kind enough to specify the exact link she trollingly shared with her father, writing in the caption of her TikTok update that she “sent him TimTales.” For those unfamiliar, TimTales is an amateur gay porn site founded by the late Tim Kruger.
