D4vd was staying at a Hollywood Hills home formerly owned by Sandra Bullock at the time of his arrest in connection with the murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, per a new report.

According to TMZ, the 21-year-old Withered artist, born David Burke, was staying at the four-bedroom, three-bath home, though it’s not immediately clear how long he had been there. He was arrested on Thursday (April 16), with LAPD reps confirming to Complex that a case was set to be presented to the District Attorney’s office this coming Monday (April 20).

TMZ’s report goes on to state that the home in question, located in the Hollywood Hills area, was previously listed on Zillow with a monthly rent rate of $17,500. In March of this year, per the report, the listing was taken down.

Bullock is said to have purchased the home in the early 2000s for just under $1.5 million, later selling it in 2018 for closer to $3 million.

Also unwittingly made the subject of headlines fodder after D4vd’s Thursday arrest was Jimmy Kimmel, with a separate report, again from TMZ, claiming he was trying to make it to his own residence in the area amid the commotion. While a street was blocked to through traffic, Kimmel, due to actually living in the area, was reportedly given access so he could get home.

“Detectives for the Los Angeles Police Department, Robbery Homicide Division have arrested David Burke, a 21-year old resident of Los Angeles, for the murder of Celeste Rivas,” an LAPD rep said in a statement provided to Complex on Friday (April 17). “Burke is being held without bail. The case will be presented to the District Attorney's office on Monday for filing consideration.”

Following the arrest, which comes after the investigation into the teen’s death first became public knowledge in September of last year, attorneys for D4vd—including Blair Berk, Marilyn Bednarski, and Regina Peter—argued that their client “did not murder” Rivas.

“Let us be clear - the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death,” the attorneys told Complex. “There has been no indictment returned by any grand jury in this case and no criminal complaint filed. David has only been detained under suspicion. We will vigorously defend David’s innocence.”
