BLACKPINK Returns With New Five-Track EP 'Deadline'

Chris Martin is credited on one of the new tracks.

BLACKPINK is back with a new EP, Deadline, featuring a collaboration with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

The group’s third “mini album,” as it’s been billed, marks their first new project together since 2022’s Born Pink. That album opened in the top spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart, ultimately spending 13 weeks in the ranks.

“Go,” a song off the just-released “Deadline,” credits Martin among its writers, while production is attributed to Cirkut and Teddy. The Coldplay singer previously joined BLACKPINK’s ROSÉ for a live performance of her hit “Apt.” track in South Korea last year.

The blockbuster group—also featuring JISOO, LISA, and JENNIE—made their full-length studio debut with The Album in 2020, with Cardi B and Selena Gomez serving as the project’s lone guest stars.

With Deadline, out now, the group further builds on the proven power of their shared energies, all while giving fans a potential glimpse at where their music might take them in the future.

The first taste of Deadline came last July with the release of lead single “Jump,” which ultimately peaked at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart.

Though nearly four years have passed since Born Pink, group members have remained busy. LISA, for example, was recently recruited by Kim Kardashian for a NikeSKIMS campaign.

As Kardashian later detailed on an episode of Sneaker Shopping with Joe La Puma, LISA was her “dream person” for the campaign.

The NikeSKIMS collection’s campaign film, seen below, was directed by Sergio Reis.
