2Pac’s family has reportedly assembled a new legal team to go deep on Diddy-related allegations in the late All Eyez on Me artist’s murder.

According to a recent report from TMZ, sources say that resurfaced (and notably not proven) allegations of Diddy having at one point offered up to $1 million for a successful hit on 2Pac have spurred the hiring of noteworthy lawyers and "a team of investigators" in pursuit of possible answers on the hot topic.

In short, the aim with assembling a special team for looking into such claims is to potentially come across evidence that might back up any allegations against the beleaguered Bad Boy Records founder. A potential wrongful death lawsuit from the family is also reportedly on the table, though it too would be contingent on legitimate evidence being found and shared.

Just last week, it was reported that Duane Davis, a.k.a. "Keefe D" or "Keffe D," had taken issue with possible evidence in the 2Pac murder case stemming from former LAPD detective and Murder Rap writer Greg Kading. As we pointed out at the time, Kading's work is widely considered where any such Diddy claims began in the mainstream conversation.

"Greg Kading had them boxes at his house for 15 years in his attic, doing all kinds of TV interviews," Davis, who was arrested in connection with 2Pac's murder last year, said in court earlier this month. "Them boxes should not be allowed. … Tainted evidence, everything. The man, he broke a proffer agreement and he broke the law, all kinds of stuff. Them boxes should not be allowed."
