Man Charged in 2Pac Murder Calls Prosecutors 'Ugly on the Inside' During Heated Court Moment

Duane Davis, who was last year charged in connection with 2Pac’s 1996 murder, called prosecutors "ugly on the inside' during a heated moment in court on Tuesday.

Davis, alternately referred to as Keefe D and/or Keffe D in the press, has taken issue with potential evidence in the case, which is slated to begin trial later this year. Specifically, he mentioned boxes from Greg Kading, a former LAPD detective and Murder Rap author. It was Kading's work, notably, that saw Diddy's name being frequently mentioned in connection with an alleged $1 million bounty.

"Greg Kading had them boxes at his house for 15 years in his attic, doing all kinds of TV interviews," Davis said in court on Tuesday. "Them boxes should not be allowed. … Tainted evidence, everything. The man, he broke a proffer agreement and he broke the law, all kinds of stuff. Them boxes should not be allowed."

Kading has since responded, saying in a statement to the Associated Press that "none of what he said reveals new information," nor was there any legality issue to the materials he shared with authorities.

In court, Davis also spoke directly to prosecutors, namely Binu Palal and Marc DiGiacomo, about the treatment he claims his family has been getting as the case progresses.

"They not only ugly on the outside, but they’re ugly on the inside," Davis said to prosecutors. "They’re trashing my family in this."

As you’ll recall, Wack 100 was recently questioned in court about his offer to cover bail for Davis. Questions have been raised about the source of the money, with Wack denying that there were any stipulations to the offer. According to Wack, he’s also not operating as a "middleman' nor is he currently under contract for a film or TV production in relation to the case.

Davis, 61, was arrested in connection with 2Pac’s murder last September. That November, he pleaded not guilty in Las Vegas court. As of this writing, Davis remains in custody ahead of the trial, now set to begin in early November.

"For 27 years, the family of Tupac Shakur has been waiting for justice," Kevin McMahill, sheriff of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, said at a press conference last year.
