Ice Spice’s fight inside (and outside) of a Los Angeles McDonald’s earlier this week has made plenty of headlines, and it seems like the rapper is now using it to support one of the fast food chain’s rivals.
On Friday night (Apr. 17), Ice Spice posted footage of the incident to X, soundtracked by a snippet of what appears to be an unreleased song. She captioned it: “this wouldn’t happen at Wendy’s.”
The “Big Guy” artist may have shouted out Wendy’s because she used to work there. She recalled her time in the fast food trenches on The Kelly Clarkson Show last year.
“There would be really annoying workers and characters,” she remembered. “[But] I would low-key appreciate them. But, like, low-key, though.”
After Wednesday’s fight, Ice Spice’s lawyer Bradford Cohen shared a statement with TMZ, telling the publication: "The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions, including criminally and civilly. We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their lack of appropriate security."
TMZ also spoke to the attacker, reportedly named Vayah. She claims Ice Spice was very rude to her when she tried to show her some love, saying the inciting incident was when the rapper called her a “bitch.” Vayah says she slapped Ice Spice in response.
