Turk: Lil Wayne Would’ve Been at 2025 Verzuz If I Was There

Turk is reflecting on the No Limit-Cash Money Verzuz battle, and he believes the night could've looked a lot different if he'd been involved — the missing Lil Wayne might have made an appearance.

During a recent appearance on Drink Champs, the former Hot Boys rapper spoke on the highly anticipated No Limit vs. Cash Money Verzuz that went down during ComplexCon in Las Vegas. The event brought out major names from both legendary labels as they went hit-for-hit in front of a packed crowd. But Lil Wayne's absence stood out to many viewers.

According to Turk, Wayne's decision not to attend may have played out differently if Turk himself had been present.

"Not just had I been there, had we been there, you feel me? And I think if I would have been there, Wayne would have been there," Turk said. He was careful to clarify he wasn't accusing anyone or stating it as fact, but rather reading the situation from experience.

"Not saying [my absence was] the reason that he wasn't there," he continued. "But from being in the field with all of us, Wayne haven't missed a beat with all of us on the ticket."

Turk also pointed out that members of the Cash Money camp seemed to have different explanations behind the scenes. He referenced Juvenile's claim that he knew in advance that Wayne wasn't going to show up, though he said the reason was unclear, while noting B.G. appeared to have a different explanation.

"So Juvie said he knew Wayne wasn't coming, but why Wayne wasn't coming, I don't know," Turk said. "But B.G. say something different. So which one it was?"

From Turk's perspective, the bigger issue wasn't just Wayne missing the moment; it was that the overall vibe felt uneven.

"I believe that Wayne would have showed up if I was there," Turk said, again emphasizing it was based on his personal experience and "observations" of how they've moved together over the years. He also doubled down on saying that he wasn't calling anyone a liar and recognized it's all opinion.

Turk then suggested that if more of the original Cash Money/Hot Boys energy had been fully represented on stage, the night would've hit harder.

"I think if we all would have been there, bro, the energy would have been better," he said. "The energy was throwed off, you feel me? They was all over the place."

Turk's relationship with the rest of the Cash Money camp became strained last summer when the rapper was removed from the Cash Money Millionaires’ 30th Anniversary Tour. He claimed that the reason was that he refused to accept a pay cut. The promoters said it was because of Turk's feud with fellow Hot Boy B.G.

The situation has led to dueling lawsuits, with Turk suing the promoters in Broward County, Florida last September; and the promoters filing suit against Turk in Manhattan federal court a month later. Both cases are still active.
