The Game is walking back years of explicit claims about Kim Kardashian and says he’s ready to apologize directly after realizing how out of line he was.

During an appearance on Club Shay Shay, the Compton rapper told host Shannon Sharpe that his past comments about Kardashian, including graphic lyrics and old interview stories, were never justified.

He admitted that he had often spoken recklessly for entertainment and ego.

“Sometimes, man, you wake up and choose a little violence,” The Game said. “If I tried to make up an excuse for my behavior, there just is no excuse. It’s the wrong thing to do on the right day.”

He revealed that the artist formerly known as Kanye West confronted him years ago, back when Ye and Kardashian were still married.

According to The Game, Ye called him personally and asked him to stop speaking about Kardashian publicly.

“He was like, ‘I love you, but can we not ever talk about my wife again?’" The Game recalled. "And I said, ‘You know what? Even though I’m bigger and stronger, you got that right.’ I told him I wasn’t going to do that no more.”

Sharpe asked him directly whether he had ever apologized to Kardashian. At first, The Game brushed it off, suggesting he didn’t owe her an apology because the rumors were already out in the world. But he shifted his tone moments later.

“I got a lot of love for Chris, Khloé, Kim, Kourtney,” he said, recalling early 2000s days when they were all coming up together in Los Angeles. “We were always chilling. But yeah, I’ll apologize to Kim today.”

He then spoke directly to the camera: “Kim, I’m apologetic for the way that I displayed or discussed our interrelations with the public.”

The apology ties into a long, complicated history of rumors involving The Game and Kim Kardashian. For years, The Game has alluded to a past relationship with the influencer, though she has never acknowledged any relationship.

In 2016, Game made vague comments on The Wendy Williams Show. Three years later, he previewed an unreleased song where he rapped explicitly about alleged sexual encounters with Kardashian and referenced Ye directly, which caused immediate backlash. "I held Kim Kardashian by the throat, n***a. I made her swallow my kids until she choked, n***a", he reportedly rapped at the time. "I should apologize cause Ye my folks, n***a.”

The Game now says age and perspective have changed how he views those moments. Neither Kardashian nor Ye has responded to the apology.
