Reason is singing the praises of Dreamville, specifically recalling an intimate moment with label head J. Cole.

During a recent appearance on Bootleg Kev's show, the former TDE rapper reflected on his experiences in the Dreamville camp, describing the collective as among the most genuine people he's encountered in the industry.

"Dreamville got like…they family with me," Reason said. "The nicest people ever."

He specifically praised Bas and Dreamville manager Ibrahim "Ib" Hamad before turning his attention to Cole, who he says went out of his way to offer personal guidance despite not knowing him closely outside of music collaborations.

"Cole stayed on the phone with me one time for like an hour helping me with relationship problems," Reason recalled. "I was drunk and asked him for advice on some relationship shit, and he called me."

According to Reason, the late-night conversation lasted roughly an hour and a half and quickly shifted from casual advice into a deeper discussion about growth, maturity and sacrifice. One piece of advice in particular stuck with him.

"He said there's gonna be a time where you have to choose," Reason explained. "You're gonna have to choose whether you want to give up what's fun… to grow up and have the other things that you don't know how much you're gonna love yet."

Reason said Cole never pressured him toward a specific decision, but instead framed it as a larger life lesson about priorities and personal evolution.

"He was like, 'I'm not here to tell you which one is for you,'" Reason said. "But you're gonna have to choose."

The rapper added that Cole connected the advice to ambition and chasing dreams, explaining that growth often requires letting go of distractions and temporary pleasures.
