Meek Mill has responded to the claims that he was extorted for $50,000 by members of the Los Angeles Crips gang.
In a resurfaced clip that was recorded he was recently arrested, Rollin' 60s Neighborhood Crip Luce Cannon claimed that he held Meek hostage while he was out in a Los Angeles nightclub. Cannon says he put up a price tag of $50,000 for Meek's freedom, and Rick Ross allegedly handled the tab.
The story went viral and eventually caught Meek's attention, forcing him to clear the air on X. According to Meek, he's never seen Cannon and doesn't "negotiate with fake thugs."
"This guy must be using a story to confuse his indictment because I never seen him B4 ...I woulda put him to "gods test" on the spot," Meek tweeted. "I never even met buddy but I don't "negotiate" with fake thugs"ask him what chain because all my chains some shit lol watches all 300k up vibes."
He continued, "It's a real world real la n***as that respect the shit out me how I carry myself in an open arms wya to build my people up ion care where you from… that's why you seen my around NIPSEY and others … men of respect and honor!"
Meek was far from done as he added, "ME NIPSEY YG MUSTARD AND FEW OTHERS MADE SURE WE DIDNT FOLLOW THE EAST COAST WEST COAST narrative! I changed my life by blessings .... but i always been down to meet up with 'fake street bully's' in abandon areas' where it's no civilians and take they heart!"
Cannon made the claims during his visit to Akademiks' Off the Record podcast last year and explained he kidnapped Meek because of how "reckless" he was being on . He also claimed he and his team "needed that bag."
"We caught him at the club where he was performing at," the gang member said. "As soon as he walked in, all of the security that was with him, they spun around. I grabbed cuz like, 'Bro, wassup?' I said, 'Get on the phone with Ross.'"
He added, "We grabbed the n***a and took him outside, and we waited."
