Lil Yachty has given his thoughts on the beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, and he gave an answer that's right on brand with his aesthetic.
On Wednesday, Yachty appeared on the Andrew Schulz's Flagrant with Akaash Singh podcast and reflected on the hip-hop beef between Drizzy and K Dot that took the world by storm. Yachty first explained how he feels that people are "hating" Drake now because he's been the top guy for over a decade and that he more than likely slept with everyone's woman.
However, Yachty revealed he wished he had never said anything about the beef or accidentally liked that tweet highlighting Kendrick's alleged infidelity due to the outrage that caused. That was the only thing Yachty regretted as he didn't think too much about the beef as a whole.
"It was what it was, you know it was. I was in fucking Europe so I felt kind of disconnected from it but it was insane," Yachty said before stating both Drizzy and K Dot are rich. "I mean the end of the day, those n***as is still richer than all us, so that's what I want people to realize at the end of the day, like both these n***as are still shitting on all of us, so it was a great moment for hip-hop."
Despite being "disconnected" from the beef, Yachty admitted he told Drake he didn't feel like he won or lost the battle back in May. In an episode of his A Safe Place podcast, Yachty claimed Kendrick had "a lot more animosity" going into the battle.
"Drake was deemed a loser in this battle before it started," he said in May. "Because people don't like him and haven't and he's won for a very long time and he's sat at the top of the throne. Honestly and respectfully, I think he still sits at the top of the throne. I think that even if opinionated masses would say that Kendrick won, I don't think that people are gonna stop listening to Drake."
