Lil Yachty is not a fan of the whole What Does Google Say About So-And-So's Net Worth tomfoolery.
In a recent update to X, i.e. the once-lovely platform formally known as Twitter, the recent Complex cover star took issue with an apparent Googling-spurred assumption that he was worth $8 million. According to Yachty, he actually cleared the $8 million mark at the very beginning of his career.
"I made 8 million in my first 8 months of rappin in 2016 on god," Yachty said over the weekend, referencing his breakout year during which both "One Night" and "Minnesota" were introduced to the world.
Shortly after his intended shutdown of $8 million chatter, Yachty returned to X to urge against letting the internet "guide" one's life. See more from Yachty below.
In his feature on Ian's recently released "Hate Me" track, Yachty boasted of being "richer than your favorite rapper," notably enlisting his mother to drive home the point, like so:
Know I'm richer than your favorite rapper
If I'm not, then, God, kill my momma
Yachty, fresh off his appearance on Mustard’s Faith of a Mustard Seed album, most recently went the solo route with "Let’s Get on Dey Ass." The official video for the track saw Yachty linking up with Teanna Trump, a name that will likely be familiar to some readers.
