Kesha reflected on her longtime friendship with Cassie while discussing one of the biggest moments of her career during a recent appearance on Call Her Daddy.
Speaking with host Alex Cooper, Kesha recalled headlining a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden for the first time and revealed Cassie a bouquet to congratulate her.
“Cassie Ventura sends me this massive bouquet of these beautiful pink roses before I go out on stage,” Kesha said, becoming emotional while recounting the moment.
The singer explained that the gesture carried extra significance because Cassie has been part of her journey since the very beginning of her career.
“Cassie was in the room when I recorded the song ‘Tik Tok,’” Kesha revealed.
Cooper then reflected on everything both women have individually experienced publicly over the years, describing their journeys as “horrific” and “unimaginable” before asking Kesha what it meant to see them both in happier places now.
Kesha smiled and spoke warmly about seeing Cassie thriving after recently welcoming another child.
“She just had a baby, and she seems to be doing so well,” Kesha said. “And I’m so happy for her. It feels so good to witness that.”
The pop star described the Madison Square Garden performance as one of the most meaningful experiences of her life, especially with her family present and support coming from people who have known her long before fame.
“It was one of the most special nights of my life,” she said.
The interview also comes after Kesha publicly showed support for Cassie following the 2025 verdict connected to Sean 'Diddy' Combs. Over the years, both women have spoken publicly about alleged abuse involving powerful figures in the music industry.
Kesha previously filed a lawsuit against producer Dr. Luke in 2014, accusing him of years of sexual, physical, verbal, and emotional abuse. Cassie, meanwhile, became the center of widespread public attention after footage surfaced showing her being assaulted by Diddy inside a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.
