G-Dragon’s agency has responded after the BIGBANG star faced criticism for wearing a controversial shirt during a recent performance.

The incident took place during a show in Macau, where the artist appeared on stage in a top that included language widely recognized as a racial slur in Dutch. Images and videos from the event quickly spread online, sparking backlash from international fans.

In a statement released the following day, Galaxy Corporation acknowledged the issue and apologized for the outfit.

“We sincerely apologize for the inappropriate wording featured on the performance outfit worn by the artist,” the company said.

The agency also emphasized that the situation has prompted internal reflection, particularly around how styling decisions are made and reviewed before public appearances.

“This incident has once again reminded us of the importance of cultural sensitivity and responsible review,” the statement continued, adding that the company plans to strengthen its internal processes moving forward.

The controversy has reignited conversations around G-Dragon’s past, with some critics pointing to previous instances where the artist faced accusations related to cultural insensitivity.

Fans have expressed a mix of disappointment and frustration, with many questioning how such an oversight could happen given G-Dragon’s long-standing involvement in fashion and creative direction.

In its statement, the agency said it is committed to approaching future projects with greater awareness and accountability, stressing the need to respect diverse audiences across the globe.

“We will move forward with a higher standard of global respect and responsibility,” the company said, while also apologizing to those who were hurt by the incident.
