NewJeans will reportedly make their return as a three-member group, as their record label ADOR confirms the group is preparing for a comeback.

According to The Chosun Daily and The Korea Times, eyewitness accounts placed members Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein in Copenhagen, Denmark alongside staff and filming equipment, while a studio schedule listing "ADOR/LL" bookings from the 13th to the 17th circulated online.

Did ADOR confirm that NewJeans' would make a comeback?

In a statement shared with The Chosun Daily, ADOR wrote: “The visit to Copenhagen was part of the preproduction process to capture NewJeans' new musical narrative.”

They added, “The NewJeans members are currently preparing for activities according to their individual conditions and optimized schedules."

The agency declined to elaborate further, stating, "We will officially announce the members' future plans at the most appropriate time."

Who are NewJeans?

NewJeans are a K-Pop girl group who made their debut in 2022 and gained popularity for hits such as “Hype Boy,” “Super Shy” and “OMG.”

The group had been at odds with ADOR over alleged “contradictions, deliberate miscommunication, and manipulation regarding multiple areas,” which they announced during an emergency press conference held in November 2024, per Soompi.

That month, NewJeans announced their intention to terminate their exclusive contracts with the record label and, months later, briefly rebranded to NJZ.

From there, the group unknowingly held their final performance as a quintet at ComplexCon Hong Kong in March 2025. At the end of their set, the group announced that they would honor the Seoul Central District Court’s injunction that prohibited them from engaging in independent activities under the name NJZ.

Will NewJeans Return as a Three-Member Group?

In November 2025, Hyein and Haerin confirmed their return to ADOR first, followed by Hanni. While Danielle was initially in talks to return to the company, her contract was terminated in December 2025 due to what ADOR described as a "breakdown of trust,” per Soompi. Meanwhile, Minji's return to the group is reportedly still under decision.

How Is NewJeans Rebranding After the Legal Dispute?

The Korea Times noted that ADOR has already begun reshaping the group's public image to reflect these changes, including replacing social media profile photos with logo-centered visuals and removing Danielle's information from NewJeans’ official platforms.

As a result, the group is apparently shifting away from its original five-member structure, and seemingly pointing toward a three-member configuration.
