The homicide investigation involving D4vd looks to be expanding, as Los Angeles detectives are now focused on a second potential suspect in the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas.

Speaking on the 2 Angry Men podcast, attorney Mark Geragos, who said he's spoken directly with people connected to the investigation, claimed detectives believe this newly identified individual may have had involvement "before, during and after" Celeste’s death, and may have even been inside the Tesla where her body was discovered.

Geragos said sources told him investigators have leaned heavily on a range of digital evidence, including cellphone data, social media location tracking and internal Tesla logs, to trace the movements of everyone believed to be connected to the case. That digital trail reportedly places the second suspect in the same Hollywood Hills area during the window in which Celeste died.

Geragos and co-host Harvey Levin each confirmed that detectives are closely examining a late-night trip D4vd took to a remote area of Santa Barbara County last spring. Multiple conversations with sources suggest investigators believe Celeste’s body may have been in the car during that trip, and new data points indicate the second suspect might have been in the vehicle as well.

The Medical Examiner has not yet finalized a cause of death, or at least has not conveyed those findings to law enforcement. Celeste was discovered dead in the back of D4vd’s Tesla earlier this year, sparking public concern and a months-long investigation.

LAPD has not announced any arrests, but D4vd remains under active investigation, although he has reportedly not been cooperating with police throughout the investigation.

According to People, a source connected to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said the singer-songwriter (real name David Burke) has been uncooperative since the beginning of the investigation.

Geragos also noted that detectives appear confident in the connections they’ve established so far, though no timeline has been given for possible charges.
