Cardi B turned her Newark tour stop into a grand homecoming moment for Fetty Wap, bringing the New Jersey native onstage and leading the crowd in a heartfelt welcome.

During her show at the Prudential Center, Cardi paused the set to introduce Fetty Wap, urging the audience to shout “welcome home” as he stepped into the spotlight. The crowd responded loudly, setting the tone for one of the night’s most memorable moments.

Fetty Wap then performed his breakout hit “Trap Queen,” sending the arena into a frenzy as fans rapped along word-for-word.

The appearance comes just days ahead of Fetty Wap’s own return to the stage in New Jersey. The rapper is set to headline his first hometown show next week on April 4 in Montclair, marking one of his first performances since his release from prison.

Fetty Wap rose to prominence in the mid-2010s with his melodic blend of rap and R&B, becoming one of the defining voices of that era. He was sentenced to six years in prison in 2023 on federal drug charges and was granted early release in January 2026. He will be under supervised release for the next five years.

Cardi B’s tour has built a reputation for these unexpected collaborations, with past stops featuring artists like Lil’ Kim and A Boogie wit da Hoodie joining her onstage during her two-night run at Madison Square Garden.
