Boosie Badazz is making it clear he’s not looking to invite any more legal issues.
Over the weekend, a video surfaced online showing the rapper being filmed holding what appeared to be a firearm, but Boosie quickly clarified in the clip that the weapon was a prop, repeatedly stressing that it wasn’t real.
“Prop guns. Look, listen to it,” he says in the video, demonstrating the sound effects. “Star Wars. Federal agents, this is Star Wars… it’s a prop.”
At one point, Boosie even pointed the prop toward his head and pulled the trigger, to prove it posed no real danger.
The moment gained traction online, but the rapper’s message was clear: he’s taking precautions and being intentional about avoiding anything that could be misinterpreted.
That context matters, especially given his legal situation. In recent years, Boosie has faced multiple firearm-related charges, including arrests tied to unlawful possession as a convicted felon. Earlier this year, Boosie was sentenced to time served and three years of supervised release in a federal firearms case. The outcome allowed him to avoid additional prison time, but it also placed him under continued scrutiny.
