Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, are taking the criticism surrounding their relationship and turning it into a business venture.

According to Cllct's Darren Rovell, the University of North Carolina head football coach and the former cheerleader have filed a trademark for the term "Gold Digger" with plans to use it on a line of jewelry and key chains.

The filing is one of several new trademarks Belichick and Hudson have pursued this year, including "Chapel Bill," "Belestrator," "Trail of Salty Tears," "No Days Off," and "The Belichick Way."

The name of the trademark shows Belichick and Hudson are fully aware of the criticism surrounding their relationship due to the nearly 50-year age difference between them.

In June 2024, Belichick and Hudson went public, sparking public scrutiny and questions about Hudson's role in Belichick's life.

The attention between these two grew earlier this year when Hudson asserted herself during a CBS interview promoting Belichick's book, at times taking control of the conversation. Reports later surfaced claiming she had been banned from University of North Carolina facilities, though the university denied the claims.

Hudson appeared to have some words for Belichick's ex-girlfriend, Linda Holliday, after they bumped into each other at a social event in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

In an Instagram post addressed to the former Miss Massachusetts Melissa Sapini, Hudson wrote, "I know you will keep shining, metamorphosing and taking up space; even when others threaten you and insist that you don't belong, e.g. the 'Nantucket Socialites'…"

Page Six reported that Holliday is a "popular" figure in Nantucket and that the "Nantucket socialites" have taken sides, allegedly freezing Hudson out of their social circles while continuing to welcome Holliday.

While doubts and speculation about their relationship remain, Belichick is preparing for his first season as head coach at UNC after winning six Super Bowls during his storied run with the New England Patriots from 2000 to 2023.
