Billie Eilish Responds to Rihanna Naming Her as Dream Collaborator: 'Oh My God'

Billie Eilish took to social media to respond to Rihanna calling her a "dream collaborator."

Billie Eilish has been expressing how much she loves Rihanna for years. But for the first time, the Anti singer confirmed that the feeling is mutual—and Eilish had the least chill response.

"What in the absolute fuck oh my god what the fuck," Eilish wrote on Instagram Thursday after learning that Rihanna named her as a "dream collaborator."

Rihanna, who hasn't released new music since 2016, spoke about the "Lunch" singer in an interview at her Fenty X Puma collection launch.

"If I could only do a song with Billie Eilish," she told 11-year-old Access Hollywood guest correspondent Lyla Thornbury in a video uploaded on Thursday.

"Mm-mm, she's so good," Rih added.

Meanwhile, Eilish has publicly lauded Rihanna on several occasions. She thinks the Savage X Fenty creator is "the hottest person to ever exist in the history of the world," she told Vogue last year, for example.

In a 2019 interview, Eilish said the superstar is the one celebrity she'd like to meet. And then she hedged her statement in her usual, relatable way.

"But, like, only if she wanted to," Eilish said. "Because my entire life, I've never even wanted to meet my idols because I never wanted to bother them."

After the interviewer said Rihanna would probably "love" to meet her, Eilish added that she would "die a million times" over a potential collaboration. "Only if she would want to," she insisted.

The same year, she defended Rihanna's nearly decade-long focus on her fashion brand over new music.

"She is doing exactly what she needs to do, and that's fire," Eilish said. "Yeah, we want new Rihanna music, but we also want Rihanna. Only props to her."

Eilish's own style is often a hot topic. In the same Vogue interview, she announced she was exploring her "feminine" and "sexy sides."

Now that she and Rihanna have displayed mutual admiration, maybe there really will be a collab—whether it's music, fashion, or both.
