The last time J. Cole sent a tweet was on Sept. 1, when he promoted the Rags EP by EarthGang. On Sunday, the Fayetteville, N.C. native returned to Twitter to speak out about the NFL players protesting in light of Donald Trump's latest remarks directed at the league.
Before breaking into a lengthy thread discussing the matter, J. Cole directed a personal message to Cardi B where he mentioned seeing her interview on the Breakfast Club. "Also Cardi b I seen your breakfast club interview, loved it," he wrote. "Don't put all that pressure on your album. You already won. Just drop & repeat."
Cardi understandably fanned out on Twitter after finding out that she received some advice from J. Cole.
But when once Cardi B and J. Cole were mentioned in the same sentence, all people wanted to talk about is a possible collaboration down the road.
