It's pretty incredible.

It was rumored that Radiohead were asked to write the theme song for the newest Bond movie, Spectre. That honor obviously ended up in Sam Smith's hands with the melancholy "Writing's on the Wall." Today, Radiohead took to social media and confirmed they had indeed been asked to write the theme song.

"Last year we were asked to write a theme tune for the Bond movie Spectre. Yes we were," the band explained on Facebook. "It didn’t work out, but became something of our own, which we love very much. As the year closes we thought you might like to hear it. Merry Christmas. May the force be with you." In true Radiohead form, it's pretty incredible. Download their unused Spectre theme song for free below.
