Insomniac has just announced the full lineup for the fifth annual New York edition of Electric Daisy Carnival, which will be returning to the East Coast on May 14 and 15. Electronic music heavyweights Kaskade, Dillon Francis, Zedd, Afrojack, David Guetta, DJ Snake, and Eric Prydz are set to perform along with rising talents Alison Wonderland, Sleepy Tom, and more. This year, the fest is taking over the iconic Citi Field, and, for the first time, will be utilizing over a million square feet for four stages that will feature circus-like performers, fireworks displays, and a central Carnival Square where fans can connect, recharge their phones, and grab food.

This past weekend was probably the most depressing time I ever had, but definitely not for America's fastest rising corporate entity, "EDM." Two major FEMA camps, EDC and Mysteryland, went head-on, battling to click-bait fans to either attend the uber bro rage fest in New Jersey (although they swear it's NY) or the trippy Disney-wave Mysteryland, set in the historical Woodstock site. Naturally, I went to both because you know what... misery loves company.
