After entering a guilty plea, YSL rapper Yak Gotti will soon be released from Fulton County Jail.

On Wednesday, Yak, real name Deamonte Kendrick, was reportedly in the Fulton County Superior courtroom and sentenced to time served. Yak was involved in publicized incidents while behind bars, the latest being last December when he was stabbed during an altercation.

Yak's lawyer, Bruce Harvey, said that additional charges against his client will be dismissed or not prosecuted. The rapper faced six counts, including conspiracy to violate Georgia's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, murder, and participation in gang activity.

Yak was found not guilty on all charges in the YSL trial but was held on unrelated charges.

"The irony of getting acquitted of the gang and murder charges, and having to resolve cases that are a result of his lengthy incarceration should not be ignored," Harvey said.

On Tuesday, Yak entered a guilty plea, telling Fulton County prosecutor Adam Abbate that he was "ready to go home," per Fox 5 Atlanta.

Yak was given a 12-year sentence by the court, with nine months to serve and credit for time spent. His status will change to non-reporting if he fulfills his probationary period of two years. It will then be suspended after five years of probation without any issues.

The YSL trial was the longest in Georgia history. Young Thug, the accused leader of the collective, pleaded guilty to several charges in the case last year and was given a time served sentence. The rapper must now serve 15 years of probation.
